Pat Rankin

Patricia Bright Rankin learned needlework at the hands of her pioneer grandmother, Una Lee Simpson Bright. Pat traveled the British Isles and Western Europe perfecting her photographic techniques on ancient Greek ruins and old world cultural icons. Then, when she retired from military service, she shifted her artistic focus to include textiles.

Pat’s exploration into textiles has led her to create beautiful Asian-themed silk handbags, fancifully machine embroidered, and hand finished. She also embroiders tea and guest towels finished with lacy crochet, as well as personalized throws and baby blankets. Pat’s creations have been sold at a California beauty spa and are now available through the dj’s touch website and Aurora, Colorado boutique. Her pieces run the gamut from elegant to whimsical and always bring a smile.

Pat draws her inspiration from the serene beauty of Japanese art, the joy of gardening, her love of animals, and her delightful granddaughter, Keira Anne Rankin.
